What is SQL For Data Analysis?

SQL is fundamental to data analysis because it is used for accessing, cleaning and analysing data stored in databases. It is simple to learn, but it is used by the world's largest corporations to solve extremely difficult problems. SQL i.e. Structured Query Language is a programming language that is widely used to manage data in relational databases. It is currently the most common method of accessing data in databases. SQL provides a number of functions that enable users to read, manipulate and change data. SQL is extensively used by software engineers and is also very prevalent with data analysts because it can be used to access massive amounts of data directly where it is stored, eliminating the need for analysts to copy data into other applications. Not only that, but it is semantically simple to grasp and learn. SQL data analysis is simple to review and recreate. SQL is excellent for performing aggregations similar to those found in an Excel pivot table, such as sums, counts, minimums and maximums, and so on, but over massive datasets and on different tables simultaneously.
Do I need to learn SQL for data analysis?

Because most of this data is stored in relational databases, a data scientist must be fluent in SQL in order to query these databases. A database is a collection of information that has been organised in such a way that it is easy to manage and update. To make this task a lot easier, various Database Management Systems (DBMS) have been developed. This category includes databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB and others. MySQL is widely known as a relational database management system, whereas PostgreSQL is an object-oriented relational database management system. MySQL's implementation language is C/C++, whereas PostgreSQL's is C. PostgreSQL supports partial, bitmap, and expression indexes, whereas MySQL does not. SQL supports only Standard data types, whereas PostgreSQL supports Advanced data types such as arrays, hstores, and user-defined types.
